Areas of application
The system is suitable for sanitary installations, central heating and underfloor heating (100% oxygen-impermeable).
Shape-retaining properties
After bending, the pipe keeps the required shape so it simplifies and speeds up the assembly of the fittings and the further working of the pipe.
Resistance to wear
The pipe is provided with a cross-linked HDPE inner layer. This means the pipe does not wear, even at high flow rates.
Coefficient of expansion
Because of the presence of the aluminium layer the coefficient of expansion amounts to 0.025mm/mk, this is comparable with copper, and up to eight times less than a synthetic pipe.
Working life
With an operating pressure of maximum 10 bar and a working temperature of 0-70°C a working life of 50 years is guaranteed with a safety factor of 1.5pmax
Toxicology and hygiene
The pipe meets the most stringent standards concerning toxicological and hygienic aspects. As a result, the pipe is 100% suitable for transporting drinking water.
Fire Class
The Ezepipe™ composite pipe, consisting of two cross-linked polyethylene layers are a butt welded aluminium layer, conforms to DIN 4102 part 1 to class B2 (normally inflammable construction elements).
Other properties
The pipe is not electrically conductive so can never be used as earthing. If the pipe diameter is correctly chosen, no nuisance flow noise occurs. Correct assembly precludes contact noises |
