In concrete floors

Small changes in length occur when Ezepipe™ composite pipes are heating up and cooling down. The coefficient of expansion of the composite pipe amounts to 0.025 mm/mk – independent of the diameter of the pipe. See expansion table in hazards.

Formula: L x a x tΔ

Example:

Temperature increases from 20°C to 70°C.
Pipe length: 10m
Calculation 10m x 0.025mm/mk x 50 k = 12,5mm

To allow for this expansion of the pipe, isolating bends should be provided at least every 10m, Ezepipe™ pipe may then be laid in a concrete floor. Note: Maximum working temperature is 95°C. The connection distance for fixation between two points may be a maximum of two meters.

Isolating expansion bends accommodate the change of length of the pipe in concrete.

N.B. The Ezepipe™ composite pipe also suitable for floor heating applications without prior limitations. (Floor heating limitations from tΔ = <10°C and Max. Feed temperature t°<45°C)

Non-hidden Pipes

Maximum distances between two pipe clips for Ezepipe™ composite pipes:

For sanitary installations, the maximum distance between clips for Ezepipe™composite pipes that are laid straight on the floor is 1.0m.

0.3m before and after 90° bends, fixing with pipe clips if necessary.
